The Punchbowl alternative with no subscription and no ads

Punchbowl lets you send invitations during a free trial, then a monthly plan takes over, and ads stay on your invitations unless you pay for Platinum. If you'd rather pay once for the party you're actually throwing, here's how EzyEvite compares.

The trial, then the subscription

Punchbowl advertises free online invitations, and its help center explains that you can send them during a free trial. After the 7-day trial you need a paid plan. Some reviewers were caught out: "you can't actually send them without purchasing a trial license," one wrote on Trustpilot in June 2026, and another noted that the plan "auto renews" in July 2026. Punchbowl still scores 4.4 out of 5 from 841 Trustpilot reviews, so plenty of subscribers are happy with it.

Ads and guest limits

Punchbowl's help center says removing ads from invitations requires the Platinum or Business plan, and each plan caps guests per event, from 50 on Plus to 5,000 on Business.

EzyEvite doesn't put third-party ads on invitations and doesn't cap RSVPs. You pay $1.99 when you publish, and Unlimited is there if you host every month.
