Why people look for an Evite alternative

Evite has been around for decades and plenty of hosts are happy with it: its iPhone app is rated 4.8 from over 500,000 ratings, and it scores 4.6 from 390 reviews on Capterra. The complaints that do come up are consistent, though. On Trustpilot, where Evite scored 1.6 out of 5 from 65 reviews when we checked, reviewers mostly point to three things: ads on free invitations, the price jump when a design feature or a few more guests push an invitation into a paid package, and invitations landing in spam folders.

One reviewer in March 2026 summed up the pricing complaint: "$40 to send 30 invites…another $30 for 13 more." That's the per-event, per-guest-count model at work.

Spam filtering affects every service that sends invitation email, EzyEvite included. The dependable backup is to also share the invitation link by text or WhatsApp, which both services let you do.

How the two pricing models differ

Evite's basic invitations are free and carry ads. The moment you add an envelope, a background, effects, a host photo gallery or an RSVP-by date, the invitation becomes Premium, priced by how many guests you invite: $17.99 for up to 12, up to $99.99 for 750.

EzyEvite doesn't have a free tier for sending. Designing and previewing costs nothing, and publishing costs $1.99 per evite whatever design you choose and however many people you email. If you host often, Unlimited is $9.99 a month for as many evites as you like, and you can cancel auto-renewal at any time.

What you give up by switching

Being fair about it: EzyEvite has 42 templates rather than thousands, there's no native app to download, and you can't send an invitation for free. Evite's standalone Event Pages and SignUp Sheets are also free, while EzyEvite's sign-up sheets live on a published evite.

What you get in return is a single flat price, no third-party ads on your invitation, a registry, cash funds, sign-up sheets and a photo album on the same page, and RSVP forms that ask for party size, adults and kids separately, and your own questions.

Moving your next party over

Pick a template or start blank, and your event name, date and place fill in automatically. Add guests by pasting a list or from your address book, preview the invitation exactly as guests will see it, and publish when it's right. Guests reply in one tap without creating an account. Questions

Is EzyEvite part of Evite?

No. EzyEvite is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Evite, Inc.

Is EzyEvite free like Evite?

Designing and previewing is free, but publishing an evite costs $1.99 (or $9.99 a month for Unlimited). Evite's basic invitations are free with ads, and its Premium packages start at $17.99 per event.

Does EzyEvite show ads to my guests?

No third-party ads. Invitations from hosts who aren't on Unlimited show a small note inviting guests to make their own invitation; Unlimited removes it.

Can I send invitations by text message?

Yes. Texts cost $0.05 each and go to US and Canada numbers; guests elsewhere get the invitation by email or link. Evite also sends texts to US and Canadian numbers only.

Do guests need an account to RSVP on EzyEvite?

No. Guests open the link and reply yes, maybe or no in one tap, with party size and any questions you add.
