How we picked

Every service here has RSVP tracking (or, for Canva, a clearly stated limit), public pricing, and a way to send invitations by email, text or link. We read each company's own pricing page and help center, and took review scores from Trustpilot, Capterra and the App Store. Prices change, so confirm on the company's site before you pay. Our Evite alternatives roundup covers the same services from the angle of leaving Evite.

EzyEvite is ours. We gave ourselves the same "watch out for" list as everyone else.

Matching the service to the event

Under about 30 guests, informal: a free tool like Partiful is hard to beat, as long as everyone is happy to get a text. Kids' parties and showers with 30 to 100 guests: a flat price matters most, because per-guest pricing climbs with the list. That is where a flat $4.99 invitation, or a subscription if you host often, comes out cheapest.

Weddings: decide whether you need a full wedding website (Joy) or a formal mailed-style invitation (Greenvelope). Corporate events: check for seating, ticketing and check-in before anything else (RSVPify).

Whatever you pick, open a test invitation on your phone first and look for ads, and make sure you can also share a plain link in case email lands in spam. More tips in our hosting guides.

Questions

What is the best online invitation maker?

It depends on the event. Partiful suits free casual parties, Greenvelope formal weddings, RSVPify corporate events, Evite has the biggest catalog, and EzyEvite is the pick for one flat $4.99 per invitation with no ads, RSVPs, registry and photo album included.

What is the best free online invitation maker?

Partiful's core features are free with no ads, Paperless Post's free designs cover up to 50 guests, and Evite's free invitations show ads. EzyEvite lets you design and preview for free and charges $4.99 only to publish.

Which invitation maker has the best RSVP tracking?

RSVPify has the deepest guest logic for formal events, while Evite, Partiful, Punchbowl, Greenvelope, Joy and EzyEvite all track replies by name. Canva does not collect names on its websites.

No. EzyEvite (ezyevite.com, spelled E-Z-Y) is a separate service from Evite (evite.com) and Easy Evite (easyevite.com).
