What changed at Hobnob
Zazzle announced in September 2025 that it had acquired Hobnob as part of becoming a complete event planning service. Hobnob's site now describes it as a way to "effortlessly organize events & groups," aimed at nonprofits, activity groups, alumni clubs and faith groups as well as personal events. On the App Store it's listed as Invitation Maker by Hobnob | Zazzle.
Hobnob's pricing page wasn't available when we checked, so the plan prices on this page are the in-app purchases listed on the App Store.
A subscription, or pay per invitation
Hobnob sells plans: Invitation Maker at $3.99 a month, Standard at $4.99 a month or $23.49 a year, Plus and Host at $9.99 a month, and Premium and Planner at $22.99 and $27.99 a month.
EzyEvite doesn't have plans for a one-off party. Design and preview for free, then pay $1.99 for each invitation you publish, and nothing renews. If you host every month, Unlimited is $9.99 a month for as many evites as you like.
Where each one is the better pick
Hobnob is built for video invitations, recurring groups and ticketed events, and its app is well reviewed. If that describes what you run, it's a strong choice.
EzyEvite is built for hosts who want everyone to get the invitation the way they prefer, whether that's email, a text or a link in the group chat, and who want the practical parts in one place. RSVP forms ask for party size, adults and kids and your own questions, and the invitation carries a registry with gift claiming, cash funds, sign-up sheets and a shared photo album. How much does Hobnob cost?
When we checked on September 14, 2026, the App Store listed plans from $3.99 a month (Invitation Maker) up to $27.99 a month (Planner), with yearly options from $19.99. Hobnob's own pricing page wasn't available.
Can EzyEvite send invitations by text like Hobnob?
Yes. Text invitations cost $0.05 each and go to US and Canada numbers. You can also share the invite link in any group chat or on WhatsApp for free, and email invitations are free.
Does EzyEvite have video invitations?
No. EzyEvite invitations use designed artwork with entrance animations and a wax-sealed envelope reveal. If video invitations are what you want, Hobnob is built for them.
