Zola doesn't send digital invitations
Zola's own FAQ says it does not offer digital invitations. It offers free digital save-the-dates, paper invitations starting at $1.99 each, and a free wedding website where guests RSVP. Texting your whole guest list needs one of its paid plans. When we checked, Zola scored 1.2 out of 5 from 184 reviews on Trustpilot.
Joy's digital cards
Joy includes hundreds of free digital invites with its free wedding website, RSVP and registry, and its cash funds carry no fee. Premium digital cards are sold in bundles of 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1,000, and Joy's blog quotes them from $0.23 each. Sending cards by text is a paid add-on for US and Canada numbers, and its Messaging Plus upgrade didn't show a public price. Joy scored 3.7 from 756 Trustpilot reviews when we checked.
Keeping your registry where it is
Plenty of couples keep their Zola or Joy registry and website and use a separate service just for the invitation. On EzyEvite you add your existing registry as a link, alongside gifts from any other store or a cash fund, and guests RSVP on the same page they read the invitation on.
To be fair about fees: EzyEvite's card cash funds cost 6% of each contribution, more than Zola's 2.5% and Joy's no-fee funds. If you'd rather avoid per-gift fees, EzyEvite's direct Venmo or Zelle option costs a one-time $10. See wedding invitation templates or pricing.
